Deepika Padukone: You need to make sacrifices for Numero Uno position
The verdict is going to be out soon. In yet another author backed role, Deepika Padukone would be seen as 'Leela' in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's RAM-LEELA. While the promos are indicating yet another terrific performance from Deepika in the offing, the film's run would also consolidate the leading lady's positioning as the Numero Uno female superstar.
"Whatever position that I am in today or the kind of love and appreciation that I am getting, it has not happened overnight. It is not just luck either," says Deepika without mincing any words, "There is a bloody lot of hard work that has gone into it. At the end of the day, you need to make commitments and then make some more sacrifices."
In the times when sequels and remakes are the in thing, isn't Deepika flattered that most of her biggies, except RACE 2, have been first time affairs?
"That's right. I believed in COCKTAIL, YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, CHENNAI EXPRESS and was excited about what Sanjay (Leela Bhansali) had to say about RAM-LEELA. It was good enough for me to go out there and do some good work. With KOCHADAIIYAAN as another original subject, I am definitely enjoying my times," says Deepika.
Hopefully audience would say the same as well once Deepika's RAM-LEELA, which is produced by Kishore Lulla and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, would release all over on 15th November 2013.

Bollywood femme fatales Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra haven’t ever had a row, much less a cat fight. Recently, Dippy even thanked PC for setting the screen on fire with her item song in ‘Ram-!eela’. Yet, critics and insiders say the film's leading lady Deepika might be losing out quite some spotlight to the former Miss World Priyanka in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next. The item song by PC is pegged as the most awaited song. Priyanka seduces her way into the 'modern mujra' in ‘Ram-Leela’, which has generated 2 million hits in just a week since its release. This could generate some smoke in Deepika’s circles as the limelight will indeed shift to Priyanka.
Movie buffs are keenly waiting to watch Deepika’s look opposite Ranveer Singh in the trailer and high on romance songs, like ‘Nagada Sang Dhol’, ‘Lahu Munh Laga Gaya’, ‘Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun’. This is another matter that filmmaker Bhansali is banking on Priyanka to make his film a roaring success. As a result, the Deepika fans are totally disappointed with Bhansali for letting Priyanka steal the limelight.

"I loved those films. There was so much drama on screen about young lovers wanting to be together, their parents opposing them. I used to love all that. In Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge, even the song sequences were shot in Switzerland. It was great fun. I'd love to attempt a 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge' in my career."

Deepika's got family power
Deepika Padukone, who is currently shooting for Finding Fanny Fernandes in Goa, is required to be in Dubai for the promotion of her next Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela in the first week of November.

The actress wanted two days off for Diwali around the same time as she was keen to spend time with her family in Bangalore. However, she was told that there is no way the dates of the promotional activity in the desert emirate can be changed.
So, instead, Dippy planned the next best thing. She asked the producers to make travel arrangement for her family to travel with her. She is said to have requested them to at least accomodate one family member if they can’t arrange for all. Confirming this, Deepika says, “I really look forward to Diwali as it is my favourite festivals. This year though, I will by promoting Ram-Leela. It’s a special film for me.”

Deepika Padukone is the hottest demand in Bollywood these days. Appropriately called the box-office golden girl, the leggy lass has entered every filmmaker’s wish-list currently.
That’s precisely why we hear this latest buzz. Apparently, Madhur Bhandarkar, who is planning to make the sequel to his 2008 blockbuster, Fashion, is giving it a serious thought to rope in Deepika.

While the first installment had Priyanka Chopra play the lead, Bhandarkar reportedly wants to give her a miss this time, and instead, cast Padukone in his project. And why not? Deepika’s three films released this year so far, have raked in big moolah at the box-office. And her upcoming romantic drama, Ram-Leela, has already been creating huge waves in cine-circles.
Though there’s been no official announcement on the same, we are waiting with bated breath as to who will be theFashion 2 showstopper.

Another case of one-upmanship in B-town is raising its ugly head. Latest reports suggest that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-Leela and Vishwas Patil’s Rajjo are set to release on the same day – November 15 this year. Incidentally, the Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh starrer was set to enjoy a solo release in the coming festive season, however now the makers of Kangna Ranaut starrer Rajjo have announced to release their film on the same date.
“I was waiting for an apt time to bring the film. Even though the main character Kangna plays a Mujra wali in the film, it isn’t somber or depressing by any means,” says the movie director Vishwas. Rajjo would incidentally be arriving 11 days after the release of Krrish 3 (November 3) in which Kangna will be seen in the real action avatar.
Few people know why Kangna wants Rajjo to release the same day as Ramleela. The Krrish 3 actor says, “Rajjo is really close to my heart and I am glad it is being released this festive season. As for competition with other films, there would be one every week in any case. I am sure my producers are taking a good call and it comes from the trust and confidence they have in the project. I am proud of the film and my work. The film is special and it will fetch an audience of its own. I believe in Vishwas Patil and music director Uttam Singh.”
Considering that Dippy is riding high on the success of her past two films – Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani andChennai Express, wethinks there’s hardly any competition for her, as Kangna Ranaut is keeping a low profile for some time now. But that doesn’t take away the fact that Ranaut must have put in a lot of hard work for Rajjo.
It would be interesting to see the two stunning B-town babes Kangy and DP playing key roles in their respective films, so with such talent and glamour a clash in the offering is certainly inevitable. We can’t wait for the contest to begin!

Deepika Padukone has been facing problems from various people for this upcoming movie which also became the cause of recent event which took place in Ahmadabad. It is reported that the security arrangements had some serious loop holes as a result of which Deepika Padukone faced some serious harsh reaction from the public and her life could have been at risk.
In such situations, when the actors feel that things are getting out of hand, they usually walk away from such venues. But this was not the case this time. While Deepika Padukone was leaving the place, she observed a lady with her baby who was being squashed by the angry mob. She took immediate action and personally helped them by rescuing them. In the same manner, Deepika Padukone also assisted a lady who fell in-between this crowed and made sure that she is safely escorted to the safer side.
Despite all that, Deepika Padukone still continued to promote her movie in Ahmadabad and after that she left. But in this whole scenario, she truly showed some heroinism and deserves more respect by their fans.
